Obituary of Michelle Schwab

Michelle Elaine Schwab, 58 of Carlinville, IL passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2025, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born November 23, 1966, in Alton, IL, a daughter of Clyde and Doris Miller Sarginson. Michelle graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1984. She married Patrick Schwab on July 12, 1991, in Carlinville, IL. Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jackie Sarginson, and brothers, Jeff Sarginson and Kevin Sarginson. Michelle worked for Millers Mutual Insurance in Alton, IL as a re-insurance analyst for 35 years, and retired in 2010. She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, and reading. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday September 13, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Carlinville Elks Lodge. Michelle is survived by her husband, Patrick of Carlinville, IL, son, Andrew of Carlinville, IL, brother, Brian (Rebecca) Sarginson of Granite City, IL, sister, Christy Tejml of Hutto, TX, sister, Jennifer Sarginson-Barboza of TX, sister, Melanie Sarginson of Carlinville, IL, brother, Monte Sarginson, England, and several nieces and nephews.
