George Thomas Jennings, 64, of Girard, passed away Thursday evening, December 10, 2020 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
George was born on November 27, 1956 to Lloyd and Pauline (Bradford) Jennings in Springfield, IL.
George was a 1974 graduate of Girard High School. He worked in the warehouse in Springfield for the state of Illinois. George enjoyed watching sports and fishing. He loved caring for his many cats and kittens.
George is survived by; two brothers, Donald "Doc" (Janet) Jennings of Waverly, IL, and Jerry "Coke" (Rosemary) Jennings of Carlyle, IL; two sisters, Deborah Butler and Cindy Jennings, both of Girard, IL; several nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents and 2 nephews.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 11:00 am at the Girard Cemetery, Girard, IL, with Rev. Marty Nagel, officiating.
COVID-19 mitigation guidelines will be followed at the cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to either the Girard Fire and Rescue or the Animal Protection League.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard is in charge of arrangements.
