Obituary of David L. Pizzo

David L. Pizzo, 74 of Quincy, formerly of Hettick, IL passed away Friday evening, July 10, 2020, at Farmington Country Care in Farmington, IL. David was born December 21, 1945, in Alton, IL, a son of George Robert and Nina Hall Pizzo. David graduated from Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL and continued his studies at Sangamon State and Trinity Colleges. He married Helen Crum, September 24, 1977 in Hettick, Illinois and she passed away, July 18, 2006. David enjoyed cartoons, football and his favorite newspapers with a good cup of coffee. David worked for the State of Illinois at the Department of Human Services and later at the Macoupin County Mental Health Department in Carlinville, IL. David was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Larry Pizzo, several half brothers. Private Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Gilead Cemetery with Rev. Don Durbin officiating. Burial will follow in Gilead Cemetery, Hettick, Illinois. David is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Pizzo of St. Petersburg, FL, son, Gabriel Pizzo of Tampa, FL, daughter, Amanda (Carl) Gaertner of Carlinville, IL, son, Issac (Misty) Pizzo of Litchfield, IL, twelve grandchildren, and two great grand-children.
