Rowena V. Wiser, 54, of Carlinville, passed away Thursday morning, May 28, 2020 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Rowena was born on November 3, 1965 to Leonard Wiser and Julia (Gunning) Friedrich in Carlinville. Rowena worked at Hardees in Carlinville for 10 years, Harmon's IGA in the deli for 6 years, and Addus Home Health Care for several years, as well as private care. She loved to read, yard sale, and spend time with her grandchildren. Rowena is survived by 4 children, Rachael Wiser of Carlinville, Roddy Pettit of Carlinville, Rhett (partner Ed Neal) Pettit of Clinton, IL, and Kassidy Michaels of Carlinville; grandsons; Roddy Pettit Jr. and Alexander Pettit five brothers, Jody (Sherry) Wiser of Carlinville, Leonard "Tim" (Janet) Wiser of Richmond, MO, John (Sarah) Wiser of Edwardsville, IL, Sam Wiser of Carlinville, and Randy Wiser of Carlinville; four sisters, Jean Kyle of Carlinville, Marilyn Kay Datz of Chattanooga, TN, Sue Ann Beach of Carrollton, IL, and Melody (Bryan) Gooden of Springfield, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Rowena was preceded in death by her parents. Due to Covid 19, services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Wiser family.
