Obituary of Zelma Kay Naugle

Zelma Kay Naugle, 73, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday morning, October 23, 2016 at her residence. Zelma was born on December 27, 1942 to Frank and Annabelle (Vandergriff) Goodman in Carrollton, IL. She graduated from Carrollton High School with the class of 1960 and married Russell L. Naugle on November 11, 1961 in Rockbridge, IL. Zelma was a homemaker for her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed reading and playing cards. She drove a bus for MCDD for several years and worked for IGA. Zelma also worked for Friendship Nursing Home in Carlinville as the Activity Director. Zelma is survived by her husband, Russell L. Naugle of Carlinville; son, Kevin L. (Laura) Naugle of Carlinville; daughter, Jacque K. (Dave) Griffith of Carlinville; son, Brian E. (Leslie) Naugle of Carlinville; daughter, Janine M. (Larry) Gross of Carlinville; 10 grandchildren, Keshia Cook, Kayla Griffith, Eric Gross, Alissa Griffith (Fiance, Sean Hicks), Haley Naugle (Fiance, Austin spada), Meghan Naugle, Justin Naugle, Hannah Naugle, Aidan Naugle and Camden Naugle; sister, Patsy (Stanley) Scoggins; brothers, Roger (Fran) Goodman of Carlinville; brother, Lee Goodman of Carlinville; brother, Terry Goodman of Carlinville; sister-in-law, Jan Goodman of Carlinville, as well as several nieces and nephews. Zelma was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Goodman. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled.
