Sheila Alexandra Mary "Sandy" Henry, age 65, of Carlinville, IL and Mt.Zion, IL passed away 17 12:04 A.M. Thursday, October 13, 2016, in St. Mary's Hospital Emergency Room, Decatur, IL. Sandy was born December 17, 1950 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England, the daughter of Alexander and Isabelle (Davies) Wesley. She married John R. Henry on April 14, 1973. Sandy had worked as a teacher for the Decatur Public Schools District #61. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Carlinville, IL. She also worked as a sales representative for Avon. Sandy enjoyed sewing and cross stitching. Her greatest joy was being with her family. A service to celebrate Sandy's life will be at 10:00 am, Monday October 17, 2016 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Carlinville with the Rt. Rev. Daniel H. Martins, Bishop of Springfield officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Monday afternoon. The family received friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion, IL. and from 9:00 until the time of service on Monday. Surviving are her husband: Rev John R. Henry of Carlinville, daughters; Johanna Morgan and her husband Jim of Columbiana, AL, Jennie Bloom and her husband Mark of Ames, IA, Fiona Carrell of Chatham, IL and Rebecca Kitchens and her husband Tyler of Decatur, IL, sisters Beverly Horner and her husband Malcolm of Dundee, Scotland and Fiona Cummings and her husband Ron of Eastbourne, England, and twelve grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Duncan and a granddaughter, Sarah. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Church or Autism Speaks.
