Obituary of Steven Vance Dwyer

Steven Vance Dwyer, 62, of Moran, Wyoming formerly of Carlinville, IL, passed away at 10:30 am Sunday, October 9, 2016 near Rawlings, Wyoming. Steve suffered a massive heart attack while driving home from a hunting trip. He dearly loved game hunting in Wyoming. Like his dad, Steve was an outdoorsman and avid hunter. Steve was born June 5, 1954 in Litchfield, IL, the son of Vance C. and Faye (Blair) Dwyer. He married Phyllis Kauerauf on August 30, 1976. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Steve graduated from Carlinville High School in 1972 and Eastern Illinois University in 1976. After graduating from college, Steve farmed for a few years with his family. Later on he and Phyllis bought Macoupin Credit Bureau on the Carlinville Square and ran for many years. They moved to Wyoming 8 years ago. Both Steve and Phyllis were employed by Signal Mountain Resort North of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Steve was Chief Account Manager and Project Manager for Signal Mountain. A Memorial Service will be held at Signal Mountain Resort now and in Carlinville at a later date. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery. Surviving are his wife Phyllis, son Nathan (Kari) Dwyer and baby grandson Vance Taylor Dwyer of Carlinville, daughter, Ashley (Grant) Cram of Idaho Falls, Idaho, mother, Faye Dwyer of Carlinville, sister Carolyn (Miguel) Carrillo of Carlinville, sister Lois Blair (Thomas) Prozorovsky of Naperville, IL, brother-in-law, Jeffery (Carol) Link of Carlinville, and sister-in-law Pat Kauerauf Locker and Dana Kauerauf Danoski and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Vance and sister Patricia (Tricia) Link. Memorials may be directed to Phyllis Dwyer 1416 Richland Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83401 for a charity of her choice.
